A little about us
Our love story began back in 2013, and 2912 miles (4,686 km) apart. We met by complete chance through an online video game called MapleStory. Our first-ever encounter was only to trade items in the game. Little did we know that this small trade would turn into something so much bigger. We quickly became friends. And as time went on, we found ourselves talking more and more. Spending our free time together calling on Skype became a part of our everyday lives.
Eventually, we had the chance to meet in person for the first time during a summer in New York City. Although our first time together was short, we knew that we did not want it to be the last time. No matter what was going on in our lives, we always figured out how to see each other again.
On December 5, 2025, in Del Mar, San Diego, Christian surprised Cecile with a ring and asked her to begin the next chapter of our lives together. We still look back and talk about how a small trade in an online video game could have led us to this moment, and we can’t wait to see where our adventure takes us next.
